Step 1: Make a dot in the middle of the paper, this is where the lines are going to intersect. Step 2: Draw 4 or more lines using your ruler and make sure each line intersects at the dot you made in step 1. You can draw as many lines as you want to but 4 is a good number to start with. I recommend making the number even and I will explain later why.
Step 3: In each triangle you will be drawing curved lines that look like stretched out “U”s, you will flip flop them in each triangle, Continue this from each point of the triangle to the edge of the page.
Step 4: You will go over the pencil lines with black marker.
Step 5: Starting in the inner part of the triangles you will choose one of the colored pencils and color in every other section. This is where you will see why I recommended drawing an even amount of lines. If you draw an odd amount then you will have two sections next to each other that are the same color. Every other section should be left white. Now continue this from the center of the triangle to the outer edge of the page.
Step 6: Now move to the triangles that are left and start coloring every other one blue. So you should have blue sections next to the white ones. It should start to look like a checkerboard.
Step 7: If you choose to you can color in the white squares with a black marker or you can color just the edges with the coordinating color of that triangle.
